Summer Reflections from a Sixty Something Senior

Summer Reflections from a Sixty Something Senior

“Summertime, and the living is easy”…..remember that song from way back when???  That’s how I’m feeling these days….satisfied to stay here in wonderful Betel where during our especially hot weather I was able to just relax in air-conditioning, enjoy our wonderful pool where we have coffee klatches with good friends; reading good books or just catching up on home organization….When our children were young, I felt that during these vacation days we just had to be doing something all of the time which meant driving in that vacation traffic, waiting in lines, crowds everywhere….now I don’t miss that at all and am just enjoying the quiet here while everyone else is at all the crowded vacation spots!  I look forward to the “off-season” when we can go away and enjoy our beautiful country in a more peaceful atmosphere….There are definite advantages to being a “senior”!
